RM10: Sharing Patients and Risks
Description:
THIS COURSE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THE 5 PERCENT DISCOUNT. With the improvements in dental technology and the increase in patient awareness, practitioners are sharing patients more than in the past. Cases that at one time could have been managed by a single dentist such as periodontal disease, implants, and medically compromised patients now often require a team approach. Practitioners, no matter how diverse their experience and training, share important patient information, and contribute to effective treatment planning. While the team approach is a positive advancement for the patient, it does not come without liability issues for practitioners. Through the examination of actual TDIC cases, RM10 will explore three main areas: communication with colleagues, procedures and documentation, and shifting from prevention to defense.
